No VAT is added. Easy Services Group is not a VAT vendor, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay.
Why we don't advertise a single "all-in" price
We could fold courier into one headline number and call it a flat rate. We have chosen not to, because it would not be true: sending a document to Cape Town and sending one to Sydney genuinely cost different amounts, and a single figure would mean overcharging some people to subsidise others.
So the fee that is genuinely ours — R2,450 — is fixed and published. The things we pay out to someone else are shown at what they cost, and you only pay for the ones you use.

Fingerprints taken locally are usually free at a police station, though some private bureaus and embassies charge their own fee. That is between you and them; we never mark it up because it never passes through us.
Five or more applicants
Our fee reduces with volume. The discount applies to our R2,450 fee only — government fees and courier are always charged at cost, because we pay them out.

Applications can be sent as one batch or accumulated over a rolling 30-day window — the discount applies once the threshold is reached, and we re-invoice the difference if you cross a tier partway through.
If SAPS rejects the application
Return corrected paperwork within 30 calendar days and we re-submit for 50% of our fee — R1,225. The SAPS fee and courier are payable again at cost, because we pay those out and cannot recover them.
Refunds
Our fee is fully refundable if we have not yet started. Once the application is lodged with SAPS it is not, because the work and the government payment have both been made. An unfavourable result on your certificate is not grounds for a refund — the certificate reports your record, and reporting it accurately is the service working correctly. Full detail is in our terms.
